Overview
ProtocolGhost is committed to making protocolghost.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation. This statement describes our current conformance target, the measures already in place, known limitations, and how to report a barrier.
1. Conformance Target
We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. This site has not yet undergone a formal third-party or automated conformance audit; the statements below describe measures built into the current design and code, not a certified audit result.
2. Measures We've Taken
- A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page lets keyboard users bypass repeated navigation and jump straight to the main content.
- Semantic HTML landmarks — header, nav, main, footer, and article — are used throughout so assistive technology can identify page structure and regions.
- Visible focus outlines are applied to all interactive elements site-wide so keyboard users can always see where focus currently is.
- All meaningful images carry descriptive alt text; decorative images (such as repeated logo marks) are marked so screen readers skip them.
- The mobile navigation menu is a real, keyboard-operable, ARIA-labeled control (aria-controls, aria-expanded) rather than a purely visual toggle, and it closes on Escape or on an outside click.
- Scroll-triggered fade-in effects and the horizontally scrolling text ticker are disabled automatically when a visitor's operating system has "reduce motion" enabled.
- The site's dark color palette and green/purple accent colors are chosen with contrast in mind against the near-black background used throughout.
- Layout is responsive and reflows for zoom and for small screens rather than relying on fixed pixel widths.
3. Known Limitations
We are not aware of every barrier that may exist, and we welcome reports (see "How to Report an Issue" below). Areas we are actively tracking include:
- Several images across the site are still placeholder graphics pending final photography or artwork; final alt text will be reviewed again once real images are in place.
- Content on third-party platforms we link to — Discord, Twitch, YouTube, GitHub, Patreon, other social platforms, and HolliBae (hollibae.com) — is outside our control and governed by that platform's own accessibility practices.
- This statement reflects our current, good-faith understanding of the site rather than a completed formal audit; a structured accessibility review is planned before commercial launch.
4. Technical Specifications
Accessibility of protocolghost.com relies on the following technologies working together in your browser: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.
5. Assessment Approach
ProtocolGhost has assessed the accessibility of this site through self-evaluation during development, including manual keyboard-navigation testing and review against WCAG 2.2 success criteria. We have not yet commissioned an independent third-party audit.
6. How to Report an Issue
If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere on protocolghost.com, please tell us through the contact page . Include the page URL, a description of the issue, and the assistive technology or browser you were using if relevant, so we can reproduce and fix it. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports promptly and to remediate confirmed barriers as quickly as reasonably possible.
7. Formal Complaints
If you are unable to resolve an accessibility issue with us directly through the contact page, you may be able to file a complaint with the applicable regulatory authority in your jurisdiction — for example, the U.S. Department of Justice for matters arising under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or your local equivalent outside the United States.
Project status
This is an initial website document and should receive legal review before commercial launch. It does not create guarantees beyond applicable law.
